
The World Formula Modified Tour will make it's second stop of the season at the fast 1/5 mile Poughkeepsie Speedway this Sunday, May 25th. Anticipating a record field of cars at the first asphalt race of the year, current points leader, Jim Scherer will be looking to make it two for two this Memorial Day weekend against the best microstock racing has to offer in the Phenomenon Designs sponsored 30 lap feature. Pavement first-timer, Ben Serfass and Kenny Lund will be looking to rebound from thier season opening woes at Oakland Valley while tour regular, Adam Keivit hopes to overcome the tow vehicle problems that kept him from making opening day. Also expected to be in attendance are the trio of Jeff & Carl Weinacker and Gary Sheffen, making their first World Formula Modified Tour appearance of the season, and the battle of the tour newcomers, Roberto Gonzales and Roberto Sanchez will surely contine as they fight for the rookie crown. As always, all World Formula Modified Tour events are open to any World Formula and WKS legal controlled stock powered microstocks. Drivers competing in their first World Formula Modified Tour race this weekend are urged to arrive early for thier cars to be inspected & registered prior to racing.
