Poughkeepsie Speedway New York
The World Formula tour rolled in to town for their second tour date of the year. The weather was perfect and the track was just as good. All competitors worked on dialing in their cars through 2 practice sessions. Then heat races were run putting Jim Scherer on pole but a "Full Invert" card was dealt reversing the entire field. The Starting lineup was 19, 17,12, 94, 24, 8w,60, 4tj.
Drop of the green flag saw some really close racing with all the fast cars in the rear. Nearly every car got a few doughnuts in the first two laps. Then attrition set in claiming the 19, 12, 8w and 24x, Both the 8w and 24x were running well and in the hunt to keep Jim Scherer for Winning again but not even Mike Andrews in the 60 over could catch him on this given Sunday. The Final Finishing order was
